Nissan Shows Dog-Friendly Rogue "Dogue" Edition at New York International Auto Show

Need a ride that's great for you and great for Fido, too? Nissan has an idea for you.

The Japanese manufacturer brought out a seemingly normal 2017 Rogue to the New York (New Bork?) International Auto Show. But open it up, and you quickly see it's anything but normal. It's Nissan Rogue "Dogue," a car for humans and canines alike.

Nissan designers outfitted the Dogue with a number of amenities geared toward comfort and safety for our furry friends. A large portion of the rear section is closed off and padded for pawed feet. A ramp offers easy access for more seasoned pups. Built in water bowls, dog bed, dog hammock, and heating vents ensure your four-legged friend will ride in the lap of luxury. Padded leather and leash anchors will keep pets safe, too.

The Rogue Dogue won't go into production, but it certainly offers some great ideas for those who love to travel with their loyal, adorable companions.

If you find yourself inspired to emulate the Dogue, you can pick up a new 2017 Rogue at Brown's Fairfax Nissan in Fairfax, VA.
