2021 Nissan LEAF Overview

What's New for 2021?

The 2021 Nissan LEAF carries over unchanged from the 2020 version, which saw upgrades like the inclusion of more standard safety features, additional airbags up front and in the back, standard smartphone integration, and a telescoping steering column.

Performance and Technology

There are two setups for our flagship EV: the base LEAF and the LEAF Plus. The base level uses a 40-kWh battery with a 147-horsepower motor, good for a driving range of approximately 150 miles. The LEAF Plus upgrades to a 62-kWh battery with a 214-horsepower electric motor and 214 miles of driving range. You'll be able to charge with a regular household-style outlet for a longer period - overnight usually works - or you can find a public station all over the Fairfax area, including right here at our Nissan dealership.

Along with its all-electric driving, the new LEAF includes a bunch of standard and optional tech. You'll have an 8-inch touchscreen, four total USB ports, smartphone integration and more in the base level of the new LEAF, while there are options for navigation, connected services and more. You'll also find plenty of standard driver aids like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring and intervention, among others, while options for the Nissan ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous system and more will round out this incredible EV.
